Café by day, Theatre & DrInks by night.

Dear Lyric Hyperion Community,

It’s with a heavy heart that The Lyric Hyperion Theatre and Cafe has decided to go dark until further notice due to growing concerns and California Department of Public Health advisories about the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Thank you all for your patience. We will come out of this even stronger than before.

Our live entertainment is how we make a living. The Lyric Hyperion is a 501(c)3 non-profit theatre and due to our theatre closing, it will turn into a challenging financial month. Please prioritize your own health and wellness, but if you have a small amount of money you’re willing to donate to your favorite theatre, the Lyric Hyperion graciously accepts any and all contributions.

Please reach out to us with any additional questions or concerns at

Stay safe and healthy out there!

About Us

The Lyric Hyperion is a venue run by artists for artists who are focused on creating new works as well as nurturing and growing community in our space.

We do our best to curate programming that appeals to all patrons—regardless of race, color, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, ancestry, age, veteran status, disability, or other protected statuses.

We’re proud to be a Queer-friendly space that actively encourages Women, POC, LGBTQ, and Emerging Artists to work on their material in a safe and nurturing environment.
