Baby Goes to Factory

A one man musical without music (maybe). Bill O'Neill brings back his show for a night of workshopping. In the spirit of play, ingenuity and a piano player who is unable to attend, he's throwing up the show with just the bare bones--and a few tricks up his rib cage. Maybe no music, maybe some music, maybe a new ending,

maybe the same beginning... All proceeds go to supporting the Lyric Hyperion!

Benny Lipson, bass, voice, piano, guitar
Theo Seidmon, drums, percussion

After years of studying, performing, and writing a wide range of music separately, Los Angeles-native twin composers, vocalists and multi-instrumentalists Jack and Benny Lipson united to birth the award-winning project jackbenny, which injects musical theater storytelling into the gamut of artistic styles. They shared their debut show in 2016 with musician-comedian Reggie Watts, and have since played their "sensational, clever and astute" originals in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Sheridan, Wyoming, where they presented their “musicalette,” Miranda, Please! through the Wyoming Theater Festival, and even in Falam, Myanmar. As the house band for Anita Procedure’s bimonthly A Queer Cabaret, jackbenny has collaborated with artists including Darren Criss, Michael Arden, and Jai Rodriguez, and they play regularly with undie-rockers The Skivvies throughout the West Coast. jackbenny performs once a month in residency at the Lyric Hyperion Theater in Los Angeles and are developing Brainstorm, a 3-character song cycle of their music.

Jake Kroeger Dates the Audience

Jake Kroeger is 31 years old and has never had a significant other. He also loathes the idea of dating apps and has also found the idea of a "meet cute" to be something that doesn't happen in real life like it does in the movies/TV. Rather than take anyone's advice that anyone has given him his whole life, he's going to do something else.

He's going to go on a date with an entire live audience.

To be clear, if you come to this interactive/experimental show, you will indeed be on a date with Jake (though he's open to it being a friend date if you're not looking for anything romantic).
Come to the gorgeous Lyric Hyperion Theatre & Cafe, an already great place for a date, on Thursday, November 29th at 10PM to fall in love/make a friend/give Jake some much needed validation of any kind.
