Hey guys, here we go--time for round dos. I’m making another solo show. About damn time, ‘cause if I lay another egg I’m gonna blow my brains out (jk jk lol). I have no idea what I’m gonna do--classic nat. But, I can promise you that it will walk the line... which line that is, I’m not sure. If you come, you will see. You might not like what you see. I hope you do, but also don’t give a fugg if you don’t, because I don’t sing for you, baby. Hopefully this show will be as good if not better than LAID, but it’s unlikely, because, let’s be honest, that first one was a fluke. Just kidding. I know I’m so great.
no Big deal is a monthly stand up comedy show produced by Learn From Me Comedy (Jeff Zamaria) every 1st Thursday (But this time its Tuesday!!!) of the month at 8pm At The Lyric Hyperion Theater in Los Angeles. October's show features respected headlining comics Curtis Cook, Joe Derosa, Emily Heller & More... Hosted by your friends Drew Platt, Mekki Leeper & Chris Conatser, no Big deal is a great chance to see headliners do extended sets. So mark your icalendars, this show is not to be missed!
For the first-time ever, JETZO （ジェットゾー）is building a scripted show -- and we want you to be an integral part of it! Every Monday, we'll improvise and present material for one hour, then have a talk back with the audience. You'll give us your feedback and we'll use it to restructure and shape the direction of the show. It's a great opportunity to see how the process works, and contribute to the creation of something entirely new.
The process will be directed and overseen by the Lyric's Artistic Director, one-and-only Philip Burgers (aka Dr. Brown). Phil used this process to develop Natalie Palamide's amazing award-winning solo show LAID, as well as the Lyric's recent run of shows like Gerald - An Epic and Incubator series.

As the young couple contend with a lack of heat, a skylight that leaks snow, several long flights of stairs, oddball neighbor Victor Velasco, and Corie's well-meaning mother, they must also reconcile their own personal differences in how they approach life's challenges.

Tucked away in the hipster-laden streets of Silverlake's Eastside is a quaint little joint that's making big waves. Almost dead center between LA's captivating Griffith Park Observatory and the famed Dodger Stadium, lies the new heart of music. The Lyric Hyperion is a "black box of magic" and it's where your favorite musicians come to play.
Danielle Taylor loves music and the thrill of a great performance so much, that she's convinced the LH (Lyric Hyperion) to let her steal the night away. And to make a great thing even better, she's convinced Lydia Rene to join her!! If you don't know who Lydia Rene is - you're about to find out!!
Not only is she a fantastical ball of bright love and sunshine, she's also a classically-trained pianist and accomplished musician. Lydia René’s sound is best described as “indie, vibrant soul”. With influences ranging from Jill Scott and Phyllis Hyman to James Taylor and Carole King, Lydia’s blended sound will take audiences to a higher musical plateau. She has shared the stage with many award-winning artists such as Eric Roberson, Jean Baylor, Jaguar Wright, and Wayna. Lydia has performed at the Taste Of Soul Family Festival (which draws a crowd of over 250,000) along with other performers such as Tyrese, Syleena Johnson, Tank, and Raheem Devaughn. More recently Lydia had the opportunity to sing a soul stirring rendition of "I Put A Spell On You" for the movie trailer campaign for the box office hit "The Perfect Guy" as well as sing for the hit TV Show EMPIRE on FOX. Currently she is the featured vocalist in CHOBANI Yogurt National Commercial Campaign. Her debut album "Vintage Heart" has received great acclaim from music publications including SoulTrain, Philadelphia Weekly & SoulBounce. While Lydia René continues to build upon her ever-growing fan base, she hopes to one day reach the level of music’s greatest singer/songwriters and musicians.
For those of you unfamiliar with our host, Danielle Taylor, she's another wild one! Taylor is an Adult Contemporary/Pop artist who has been likened to both Adele and Sara Bareilles - though we think she has a sound all her own! Though her record, 1440, was recently released, it's already begun to catch fire. Her music is currently on SiriusXM Radio, her song RSVP is charting on the DRT Top 50 Pop Charts across the US, and she’s just signed an 850 station deal with iHeartRadio to have her latest single, Dead & Gone played across the nation. She's opened for countless Grammy nominated/award winning artists like: Jonny Lang, Leon Russell, Marc Cohn, Lisa Loeb, Wilson Phillips, Marc Broussard, and many more. She tours year round, has been featured in magazines such as the Ventura County Star, Echo & Buzz, 360Magazine, The Young Folks, the Ramona Magazine for Girls, and most recently, was on the cover of Entrigue Magazine.
If that doesn't sound like an amazing lineup, we seriously don't know what does! These ladies are both forces to be reckoned with and are excited to perform for you! We hope you will join us for a night on the town and 'Music in the City.'
A select munchie menu will be available for consumption prior to and following the show. Beer, Wine and Cocktails will be available throughout the evening.
Comedians talk about the things that make them laugh, make them cry and that make them want to slap the hell out of somebody. And this time the women take over...as this hilarious panel discusses everything from the serious to the silliest issues of today. Featuring the outrageously talented - Jodi Miller, Andrea Joseph, Jessica Michelle Singleton and Jackie Fabulous.
Join us for Comedy Pop-Up in Silver Lake at the Lyric Hyperion Theatre & Cafe.
The show features:
Kira Soltanovich (Last Comic Standing, Jay Leno Show, Jimmy Kimmel)
Steve Hofstetter (Late Late Show w/Craig Ferguson, Joe Rogn Experience, Laughs on Fox)
Rob Christensen (Comedy Central's This is Not Happening, Last Comic Standing)
Jessica Michelle Singleton (Ignorance is #Blessed)
Jackson McQueen (Jimmy Kimmel Live, New Mommies)
David Murphy (The Please Allow Show)
